Student's Background: Marcus Moseley moved to Lake Charles to take care of ailing family members. After meeting with faculty about the Computer Networking Specialist program, he registered for classes at SOWELA Technical Community College. "My favorite part is the hands-on learning, as well as supportive faculty who recognize when students are making an effort and work hard to help them succeed," said Moseley.
Credential Earned: Marcus received an Associate of Applied Science.
Outcome: He is the Key to Success award recipient for students majoring in the IT field, and after graduation, Marcus plans to enroll in Western Governor's University to earn his bachelor's degree in Networking Administration. He can finish the program in a year and a half due to credits transferring from SOWELA to the university. Marcus also has multiple interviews lined up and plans to begin working in the IT field this summer.
