For those who are new to the membership process, remember that registration is not complete until you press "submit". Use PO# 201611A and we will pay the membership fee for the advisors and the first 1,000 students.
Conference Registration
There are 4 registrants for the conference as of today. Please register as soon as possible so that we will know what is needed for the conference. You can register your students for any of the national contests listed in this newsletter except for the few that say (no state contest).
Confidentiality of Contest Scores
It has come to our attention that some students may be reluctant to compete for fear that they may suffer embarrassment if they do not score as high as they would like. Please reassure them that contest scores will not be published. They will be compiled by the state staff to determine the medal winners, and provided only to the students and Student Advisors for purposes of helping them identify areas in need of additional work. Please reassure your students that they will not be placed in any embarrassing position and that their contest scores will remain confidential. Encourage them to compete as an exciting growth experience.
Chapter Advisors
All of the colleges have selected a "Chapter Advisor" to act as the single point of contact regarding SkillsUSA concerns. The Chapter Advisors will provide information and assistance to local instructors and students and coordinate activities with state SkillsUSA staff. If you need assistance getting started with SkillsUSA, please call the Chapter Advisor for your college.

Become a Technical Lead
A "Technical Lead" may be an instructor, an industry professional, or other knowledgeable person that is responsible for designing (or adapting) a test for the state competition.
