Stanton Salathe
Stan Salathe is a lifelong resident of Harvey and Gretna, Louisiana. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi, he served in the United States Air Force.
Salathe began his business career with the family business, Salathe Oil Company and later Salathe Gas Company. He became the owner of both companies in 1988. Mr. Salathe has served in many leadership positions in economic development, healthcare and education: Chairman of Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission, Chairman of West Jefferson Medical Center, Chairman of Harvey Canal Industrial Association, Chairman of Louisiana Oil Marketers and Chairman of Westbank Business and Industry.
He has served as a Board member for Louisiana Community and Technical System since 2018, West Jefferson Hospital Foundation, Catholic Foundation for the Archdiocese of New Orleans, Chateau de Notre Dame Health System, Jefferson Parish Chamber, Shell Oil Marketers, Texaco Wholesale Council, South Port Construction, Inc., Fifth District Savings Bank, Southern Mississippi Small Business Council, Chamber of Commerce New Orleans, Legatus, Fore Kids Kids Foundation and Café Hope.
Mr. Salathe and his wife Judy have three sons. They are active members of St. Cletus Catholic Church and the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
Mr. Salathe was appointed on June 8, 2018, representing Louisiana's second Congressional Delegation. His service end date is July 1, 2025.
